TARS Interactive Ltd (“TARS Interactive”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the TARS Interactive website and the Hero Path RPG mobile game.

This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you visit our website or use Hero Path RPG, how that information is used, the role of third-party service providers, and the rights you may have.

By using our website or game, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. Where applicable law requires consent for a particular processing activity, we will request consent separately.

1. COMPANY INFORMATION

2. SCOPE OF THIS POLICY

This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • The TARS Interactive website.
  • The Hero Path RPG mobile game.
  • Support communications that you send to us.
  • Unity Analytics and related game analytics.
  • Information processed in connection with rewarded advertisements shown in the game.
  • Information processed in connection with in-app purchases.

This policy does not apply to third-party websites, app stores, payment processors, advertising networks, mediation providers, analytics providers, or other services that we do not control. Those services may have their own privacy policies.

3. HERO PATH RPG

3.1 Advertising configuration

The current release of Hero Path RPG includes optional rewarded advertisements.

Rewarded advertisements may be offered when you choose to receive an in-game reward, such as:

  • A temporary or permanent gameplay bonus.
  • An additional shop reward.
  • A Lucky Spin attempt.
  • A chest reward.
  • A death-respawn reward.
  • Other optional rewards made available by the game.

The game is currently configured to request contextual, non-personalized advertising. We do not intentionally request or offer personalized behavioral advertising in the current release.

The game does not request Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission. We do not intentionally access Apple’s IDFA for personalized advertising without the required Apple permission.

Rewarded advertisements are optional. You may continue using the non-ad portions of the game without watching a rewarded advertisement, although some optional rewards may not be available unless the applicable advertisement is completed.

The game’s advertising consent and privacy configuration is separate from the Unity Analytics consent described below. Declining Unity Analytics consent does not necessarily prevent advertising SDKs from processing information required to deliver, secure, measure, and operate rewarded advertisements.

3.2 Information that may be processed for advertising

When a rewarded advertisement is requested, displayed, completed, clicked, or fails to load, Unity LevelPlay, Unity Ads, and applicable advertising or mediation partners may process information such as:

  • IP address.
  • Device type, model, and operating-system version.
  • Application version and related technical settings.
  • Country or general geographic region inferred from the IP address.
  • Device and application identifiers permitted by the operating system.
  • Advertising identifiers where legally available and permitted.
  • Ad impression, completion, click, and interaction information.
  • Rewarded-ad availability and delivery information.
  • Fraud-prevention, security, frequency-capping, and diagnostic information.
  • Crash, performance, and SDK error information related to advertising delivery.
  • Information about the ad network or creative that was shown.
  • Approximate advertising revenue or impression information.

Advertising SDKs may process this information to:

  • Deliver contextual advertisements.
  • Determine whether an advertisement is available.
  • Confirm that an advertisement was displayed or completed.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and repeated invalid reward claims.
  • Apply frequency limits.
  • Measure advertising delivery and performance.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems.
  • Maintain the security and reliability of the advertising service.
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

Because advertising services are operated by third parties, those providers may process information under their own privacy policies and terms.

The game’s current configuration is intended to prevent personalized advertising and behavioral ad targeting. However, the precise information processed may depend on the advertising SDKs, mediation partners, operating system, device settings, country, and final advertising configuration.

3.3 Advertising providers

Hero Path RPG uses Unity LevelPlay for advertising mediation. Depending on the active mediation configuration, advertisements may be supplied by Unity Ads and/or other advertising networks enabled through LevelPlay.

Advertising providers may act as independent controllers or processors depending on the service and applicable law. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies.

Relevant provider information includes:

The list of advertising partners may change as the mediation configuration changes. We will update this policy where required if a change materially affects the information processed or the purposes of processing.

3.4 Apple App Tracking Transparency

The current release does not request Apple App Tracking Transparency permission.

The game is not configured to request permission to track users across apps and websites for personalized advertising. If this changes in a future release, we will update this Privacy Policy and the applicable App Store privacy disclosures before introducing that functionality.

3.5 Gameplay data and local storage

Hero Path RPG does not currently require registration, an online player account, or sign-in.

The game stores gameplay progress, consent preferences, and settings locally on your device. This may include:

  • Gameplay progress.
  • Player level and experience.
  • Territory and level progress.
  • Gem and reward balances.
  • Purchase-related state.
  • Weapon and character progression.
  • Audio, haptic, and other settings.
  • Daily or feature state stored locally by the game.
  • Analytics consent preferences.
  • Technical preferences required for the game to function.

This locally stored data is not intended to directly identify you.

You can generally remove locally stored game data by uninstalling the game or clearing the application data, subject to the behavior of your device and operating system.

Deleting local game data does not necessarily delete information already processed by Unity, LevelPlay, advertising partners, Apple, or other third parties.

3.6 In-app purchases

Hero Path RPG offers optional in-app purchases through Apple’s App Store.

Purchases are processed by Apple and Unity’s in-app purchasing services. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number, bank details, or Apple payment credentials.

Apple, Unity IAP, and the game may process limited purchase information necessary to:

  • Validate a purchase.
  • Deliver purchased content.
  • Restore eligible purchases.
  • Detect or prevent purchase abuse.
  • Maintain purchase-related state in the game.
  • Identify the purchased product.
  • Record whether a purchase succeeded or failed.

When Unity Analytics consent has been granted, the game may also record an analytics event containing the relevant product identifier and whether the purchase succeeded or failed. The game’s analytics event does not contain your payment-card details.

Apple’s handling of your information is governed by Apple’s policies:

Apple Privacy

4. PERMISSIONS

The current game does not intentionally request access to:

  • Contacts.
  • Camera.
  • Microphone.
  • Photos.
  • Precise location.
  • Health data.
  • Personal messages.

The game may require network access to:

  • Initialize Unity services.
  • Initialize advertising and mediation services.
  • Request and display rewarded advertisements.
  • Process and restore purchases.
  • Send analytics events after consent.
  • Communicate with applicable third-party services.

The permissions and capabilities included in a specific device build may also be affected by Apple, Unity, LevelPlay, Unity Ads, and other integrated SDKs. We will update this policy if the game begins requesting materially different permissions.

5. INFORMATION COLLECTED THROUGH THE WEBSITE

When you visit our website, our hosting provider or technical service providers may automatically process limited technical information, such as:

  • IP address.
  • Browser type and version.
  • Device and operating-system information.
  • Requested pages.
  • Date and time of access.
  • Referring website.
  • Basic security and diagnostic information.

This information may be used to:

  • Operate and secure the website.
  • Detect abuse, fraud, or malicious activity.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems.
  • Maintain website performance.
  • Understand basic website usage.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not use this information to identify you personally unless required for security, legal, support, or legal-compliance purposes.

If you contact us by email, we may process:

  • Your email address.
  • Your name, if provided.
  • The contents of your message.
  • Any information you choose to include.

Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, or other unnecessary sensitive information by email.

6. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

Our website may use essential cookies or similar technologies required for basic website operation, security, or functionality.

If the website uses non-essential cookies, such as analytics, advertising, or marketing cookies, we will request consent where required by applicable law.

You may be able to manage cookies through:

  • Your browser settings.
  • A cookie-preference tool provided on the website.
  • Controls offered by the relevant third-party provider.

Hero Path RPG does not use browser cookies. It stores certain gameplay, consent, and preference data locally on your device.

The advertising and analytics SDKs used by the game may use their own technical storage mechanisms. These are controlled by the applicable providers and are not browser cookies.

7. UNITY ANALYTICS, GAMEPLAY ANALYTICS, AND DIAGNOSTICS

The current release uses Unity Gaming Services Analytics.

Unity Analytics collection is intended to begin only after you provide affirmative consent through the in-game analytics consent panel. If you decline, the game attempts to stop Unity Analytics data collection and does not intentionally record the custom analytics events described below.

Your analytics decision is stored locally on your device so that the game can remember your choice. You may be able to change your decision or request deletion through an applicable in-game control where available, or by contacting us.

Depending on the Unity Analytics configuration and applicable platform, Unity Analytics may process information such as:

  • An installation-specific identifier.
  • Device and application information.
  • Operating-system and application-version information.
  • IP address and approximate location.
  • App or game-start information.
  • Gameplay and usage information.
  • Crash, diagnostic, and performance information.
  • Analytics consent status.
  • Purchase-related information where processed through integrated Unity services.

The game’s current custom analytics events may include information such as:

  • Enemy name and category.
  • Player level and new level.
  • Slow-motion kill events.
  • Critical-hit tier and damage amount.
  • Rewarded-ad completion status.
  • In-app purchase product identifier.
  • In-app purchase success or failure.

These events are intended to describe gameplay and service activity. We do not intentionally include your name, email address, payment-card details, passwords, or other directly identifying information in these custom gameplay events.

Unity Analytics is used to:

  • Understand gameplay progression and feature usage.
  • Monitor game stability and performance.
  • Diagnose technical issues.
  • Improve game balance and player experience.
  • Measure the reliability of rewarded advertisements and purchases.
  • Detect unusual technical or gameplay activity where appropriate.

Unity Analytics is separate from LevelPlay and the advertising networks. Granting or declining Unity Analytics consent does not automatically grant or decline consent for every advertising provider.

Unity’s processing of information is described in its Privacy Policy and Analytics privacy documentation.

8. NOTIFICATIONS

The current release does not intentionally send push notifications and does not request notification permission for the disabled notification feature.

If push notifications are enabled in a future release, we will update this policy and request permission where required by the operating system.

9. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We may use information for the following purposes:

  • To operate and maintain our website.
  • To provide and support Hero Path RPG.
  • To display optional rewarded advertisements.
  • To confirm rewarded-ad completion and apply the appropriate in-game reward.
  • To prevent fraud, abuse, and invalid reward claims.
  • To process and validate in-app purchases.
  • To restore eligible purchases.
  • To record gameplay analytics after applicable consent has been provided.
  • To understand game progression and feature usage.
  • To diagnose crashes, errors, and performance issues.
  • To monitor advertising delivery and reliability.
  • To respond to support requests.
  • To maintain security.
  • To comply with legal obligations.
  • To establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
  • To improve our services where permitted by law.

We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration.

The current game configuration is intended to avoid personalized advertising and behavioral ad profiling. Rewarded-ad providers may still process technical and advertising-delivery information for security, fraud prevention, frequency management, contextual ad delivery, and measurement.

10. LEGAL BASES FOR PROCESSING

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, we may rely on the following legal bases:

  • Contract or performance of a contract: to provide the game, deliver purchases, and apply rewards you request.
  • Consent: to start Unity Analytics data collection and for other processing where consent is legally required.
  • Legitimate interests: to secure the game, prevent fraud, maintain services, troubleshoot issues, operate the website, and support contextual advertising where legally permitted.
  • Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, accounting requirements, and lawful requests.

Third-party advertising, analytics, mediation, app-store, and payment providers may rely on their own legal bases and privacy mechanisms. Their legal bases and processing practices are described in their respective privacy policies.

The Unity Analytics consent decision does not automatically represent consent for LevelPlay, Unity Ads, Apple, or other third-party services.

11. SERVICE PROVIDERS

We may use trusted service providers to help us operate the website and game, including providers that assist with:

  • Unity Analytics and technical diagnostics.
  • Rewarded-ad delivery and mediation.
  • Ad fraud prevention and measurement.
  • App Store purchases and purchase validation.
  • Website hosting and security.
  • Email and customer support.
  • Technical infrastructure.

Service providers may process information only as necessary to provide services to us, subject to their contracts, policies, and applicable legal requirements.

The Apple App Store and Apple’s payment services operate independently from TARS Interactive. Their processing of information is governed by Apple’s policies and terms.

Unity LevelPlay, Unity Ads, and other mediation partners may also process information under their own privacy policies and may act as independent controllers or processors depending on the relevant service and applicable law.

12. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

TARS Interactive is based in the United Kingdom. Our service providers, including advertising, analytics, app-store, and technology providers, may process information in countries outside the United Kingdom or your country of residence.

Where required by applicable law, we will use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information, such as adequacy regulations, standard contractual clauses, or other legally recognized safeguards.

13. DATA RETENTION

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including:

  • Supporting and responding to email communications.
  • Maintaining website security.
  • Resolving disputes.
  • Complying with legal, accounting, or regulatory obligations.
  • Establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims.

Local game-save and consent data remains on your device until you delete it, uninstall the game, or clear its application data.

Unity Analytics information is retained according to Unity’s policies, applicable service configuration, and legal obligations.

Advertising and technical information may be retained by Unity, LevelPlay, Unity Ads, Apple, and other service providers according to their own retention policies and legal obligations.

Apple may retain purchase and transaction records according to Apple’s policies and applicable legal requirements.

14. YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

  • Request access to information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of information.
  • Request restriction of processing.
  • Object to certain processing.
  • Request data portability.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Complain to a data-protection authority.

To exercise your rights, contact:

info@tarsinteractive.com

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We may also retain information where required by law or where we have a valid legal basis to do so.

Some information processed directly by Apple, Unity, LevelPlay, Unity Ads, hosting providers, or other third parties may need to be requested from those providers directly.

If you are located in the United Kingdom, you may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

15. DELETING GAME AND ANALYTICS DATA

The current game does not provide player accounts or an online account deletion system.

Because gameplay data is stored locally, you can generally delete it by:

  1. Uninstalling Hero Path RPG; or
  2. Clearing the game’s application data through your device settings.

Deleting local data does not automatically delete remote analytics, advertising, purchase, or app-store records.

If Unity Analytics collection has been enabled, you may request deletion of applicable Unity Analytics data through an available in-game deletion control or by contacting us at:

info@tarsinteractive.com

Where supported, a deletion request will be submitted to Unity Analytics and future Unity Analytics collection will be stopped. Deletion may be subject to the provider’s technical processes, legal obligations, fraud-prevention requirements, and retention policies.

In-app purchase records and advertising-provider records are managed by the applicable providers and may remain subject to their retention policies and legal obligations.

If you contact us by email, we may retain correspondence where reasonably necessary for support, security, legal, or business purposes.

16. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Hero Path RPG is not directed at children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. The game’s current advertising configuration is intended to use contextual, non-personalized advertising, but parents and guardians should review the policies of the advertising providers and the operating system.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, contact:

info@tarsinteractive.com

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child in circumstances where parental consent is required, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

17. SECURITY

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information under our control.

These measures may include access controls, secure service configurations, restricted administrative access, and provider security controls.

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

18. THIRD-PARTY LINKS

Our website or game may contain links to third-party services, including:

  • Apple App Store pages.
  • Privacy policies.
  • Terms of service.
  • Advertising-provider websites.
  • Support or external websites.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of third-party services. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies before providing information.

19. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where required by law.

The updated policy becomes effective when it is posted on this page unless stated otherwise.
